The client

Labl.it is the UK's leading commercial kitchen label printer, helping over 3,500+ kitchens stay compliant with EHO and Natasha's Law while saving hours of admin time.

They were actively growing, but their existing brand hadn't been utilised to its full potential and felt outdated. They wanted to develop a more distinct visual style whilst still feeling on brand, so every touchpoint felt unmistakably "Labl.it ".

The problem

When I started working with them in 2025, Labl.it had never had a designer on their team before. Emails, the website, social - everything had been pieced together without one. It all did the job, but nothing tied together, and nothing really stuck in your head after you'd seen it.

The solution

I began working with Labl.it on an ad hoc basis, designing social campaigns and digital documents, which led to creating detailed brand guidelines and brand usage rules. I started to develop a distinct visual style for the company, consisting of bold gradients and angled shapes with layered visuals to create depth and feel dynamic. Labl.it were moving fast, and I wanted this to come across in their marketing.

Seven months later, we transitioned to a retainer-basis, and that's when things really clicked. I became their expert in all things branding, and since then have been embedded in everything Labl.it does creatively: website, email, organic and paid social, display ads, ABM, direct mail - you name it.

One of the larger projects I was involved in was the redevelopment of Labl.it’s website. I helped streamline the site, improving UX and the customer journey and increasing engagement time on the site. I created visual assets and made sure everything was firmly on brand, liaising with developers to ensure my proposed styling was implemented correctly.

Just days after launching the new site, Labl.it’s bounce rate had halved - a tangible and significant result that had a positive ripple effect across multiple areas of the business.

Another win was redesigning the site exit popup and lead magnets, which saw signups double within three months, from around 30 to 60.

The result

Labl.it's brand presence is now more polished, more distinctive, and it's got a personality people recognise.

Working retained hours for Labl.it means I can streamline every project, prioritise tasks and pivot when needed. I can work quickly thanks to knowing the brand inside out: including what works, and - more importantly - what doesn’t.

Being a hands-on, day-to-day presence in the business makes all the difference. The team can confidently assign creative projects to me knowing they’ll be done to a high standard and with the brand identity always at the forefront.

CTO, Labl.it

"Georgia is just brilliant to work with - quick, reliable, and always brings ideas we wouldn't have thought of ourselves. It genuinely feels like having a designer on the team, not an outside agency."
